Michael Krombach

Executive Vice President

Michael is the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Oakley Group and its affiliated entities. Since joining the firm in 2015, Michael has played a key role in expanding Oakley Group’s multifamily portfolio through both development and acquisition efforts. He is actively involved in all phases of the investment lifecycle, including deal sourcing, execution, and investor relations.

Prior to joining Oakley Group, Michael practiced law at a Birmingham-based firm where he focused on asset-based financing transactions, loan workouts, and general corporate matters for privately held companies and family offices. Before practicing law, he began his career as an analyst at Deutsche Bank.

Michael earned both his B.S. and B.A. in Economics and Finance from the Brock School of Business at Samford University and received his J.D. from Samford’s Cumberland School of Law. Outside of work, Michael enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife, Meggie, and their three children: Margaret, Rhodie, and Houston.
